About the Course

 

Helen has been running Cued Articulation courses since 1997. She has run over 100 courses in all states and territories, and in New Zealand, training over 1000 teachers, teacher assistants, parents and speech pathologists.

The courses have evolved over the years and now utilize an animated PowerPoint presentation incorporating audio and video. A games breakout session enables students to practise their skills and gain classroom ideas. A workbook is supplied containing information and activities.

 

The 6 hour course is designed primarily for:
  • Early Years teachers
  • ESL teachers
  • Teacher assistants
  • Parents
The course is designed to:
  • teach Cued Articulation techniques
  • provide practical ideas for using Cued Articulation for promoting the development of listening skills and early sound awareness
The course also covers:
  • speech sound production
  • normal speech development
  • common errors and immaturities
  • the relationship between spoken sounds and written letters
The course sessions can be run in one day or over two or more days as required
